When submitting details via our online form, customers are provided with an estimated value of their items. This estimate is automatically generated based on the description entered by the customer and the live market prices for gold, silver, platinum and palladium at that time. This estimate is provided for guidance purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer by Gerrards Bullion to purchase any items.
Upon receipt, all items are inspected and tested by the Gerrards Bullion Buying Team. The final valuation and any purchase offer are determined solely at our discretion, based on the live precious metal prices on the day of processing. Processing may take place up to ten days after receipt of the items.
Gerrards Bullion reserves the absolute right, at its discretion, to decline to purchase any items received, to amend or withdraw an indicative valuation, or to return the goods without liability. We will only contact the customer prior to payment where there is a material discrepancy* between the customer's description of the goods and the assessment by our Buying Team.
By sending items to Gerrards Bullion, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- No contract of sale exists until Gerrards Bullion confirms acceptance of the items and issues payment.
- The final payment amount will be calculated using the live market price on the date of processing.
- Gerrards Bullion's decision regarding the acceptance, valuation, and purchase of any items shall be final and binding.
*A material discrepancy is defined as being:
- Where the carat differs from the customer's assessment
- Where the weight of gold differs by more than 3 grams or silver differs by more than 20 grams from the customer's assessment.
NB. All items are weighed on Trade Approved, regularly calibrated scales.
